Influenced by Cantonese Ghost Stories, this sci-fi twinged, city symphony meets performance art film impressionistically depicts Hong Kong’s underground art and activist communities whilst excavating ancestral connections to the land amongst now subdued social energies. As a requiem for the region’s dissipating cultural identity, Splits in Two seeks to attain stability amidst states of impermanence.
